Pastor Monika Hunter

Pastor Monika Hunter attained degrees in Psychology and Biology. She then felt distinctly called to attend seminary. She earned her Master of Divinity degree right before her one child came along, of whom she is very proud. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when her now adult child was a baby. 

Our pastor also served four years active duty in the Armed Forces (Army), and was stationed in South Korea for two years. Having grown up outside Chicago, her time in the service began a life of living all across our wonderful country, and she couldn't be happier to now be in Hillsville.

Monika enjoys singing, walking, nature, animals - especially birds and dogs, enjoying the arts, the library, conversation, and spending time with friends and family. 

All who seek God’s truth and love are welcome and included in worship and the life of the church.
